COVID-19 Statement

Carparison would like to communicate the following statement following confirmation of a second COVID-19 lockdown in England starting 5 November 2020.

Firstly, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone making sacrifices to keep our country fed and moving, our sick cared for and our schools open.

We also want to take this opportunity to wish you, your families and your wider community safe and well. 

As global concerns about the current COVID-19 outbreak continue to grow, we feel it important to communicate the following:

We remain wholly committed to the protection of our staff, customers and partners and will therefore adjust again to the change in restrictions outlined by HM Government in accordance with this latest lockdown in England.

Nevertheless, users should expect no change to our service or our service levels during this time, either online or when contacting our wonderful staff. Furthermore, our funding partners remain open and, unlike the previous lockdown, vehicle dealerships are permitted to continue as non-essential retail providing delivery services.

Our in-house and external services remain operational and are expected to remain so over the four week lockdown.

Vehicle deliveries: our partnering dealerships are permitted to remain open with deliveries proceeding as normal

Advice to customers

Customers should expect no divergence from our usual service.

The delivery of our vehicles is completed by the corresponding dealerships rather than ourselves. Most of our partners have already committed to remaining open during November’s lockdown. Therefore, we expect no delay or disruption to deliveries and accurate delivery times are advertised on site and on all order documentation. In the unlikely event that delivery delays do occur, we will contact anyone affected on a personal, case-by-case basis.

Some of our funder partners are continuing to experience delays in processing finance applications that require manual underwriting. This is as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 measures they have put in place to ensure the safety of their staff. They are working relentlessly to shorten waiting times and any delays will be communicated to any affected applicants.

We understand that you may have extra questions or concerns when ordering a lease vehicle over the coming weeks. While we have always been on hand to support our customers as much as they require, we are committed to being available to provide extra support for anyone who needs it.

Extended cancellation period

We have once again extended our standard cancellation period. Customers placing an order during November will be entitled to cancel right up until delivery of their lease vehicle is booked. They will be entitled to a full refund when doing so.

Charges may apply to cancellations made after vehicle delivery is booked due to costs incurred during the booking process. However, this will be assessed on a case by case basis and we will help however we can.

Vehicle buying service

If you own or finance a vehicle with a product that offers a purchase option (like PCP, HP or bank loan), we can offer you a valuation to buy your vehicle through Motorway. Our vehicle buying partner will provide an honest, competitive valuation. If accepted, your vehicle will be collected from you at your convenience and you will receive settlement the following day.

Where applicable, if the outstanding finance owed on your vehicle exceeds its current value, you may be required to settle the difference in order for us to proceed with the purchase.

We regret that this service is not applicable to those with Personal Contract Hire (PCH) or Business Contract Hire (BCH) agreements as there is no ownership potential in these instances. However, if you are facing financial instability as a result of COVID-19, there is additional support available for car finance customers.
