What happens if I move to a new house?
If you are moving home, then under Amendment 1 (2020) to BS 7671:2018 electrical regulations, we would need to go through a full survey, including a DNO application. This means there is no cost reduction to our installation.
British Gas also need access to your new house approximately 15 working days before you want the charger installed to allow them to perform a survey and get DNO approval.
Additionally, you may not necessarily have the right to remove your charger or take it with you in the event of a house sale. It’s recommended you seek your solicitor’s advice before considering removing a fixture like an electrical product.
