Vehicle information
- All vehicle specifications are supplied by the vehicle manufacturers to CAP, to whom we pay a licensing fee to present this data to you. While every effort to achieve accuracy is taken, this information should be used as a guide only. You should seek verification of the latest data from manufacturer websites and brochures. Please check your order to ensure it meets your exact requirements. Carparison won't be liable for any loss or damages caused by reliance on information contained or linked to from the Website.
- All fuel consumption and electric vehicle range data is supplied by CAP via the manufacturer. These are based on the government-approved Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Testing Procedure (WLTP). 'Real world' usage will be dependent on your own driving style, vehicle options, road and weather conditions.
- All and any CAP data may contain errors or omissions, especially when the manufacturer has introduced a newer model. You should seek verification of the latest data from manufacturer websites and brochures.
- During and throughout your finance agreement you are responsible for running and maintaining the vehicle according to manufacturer guidelines. This includes appropriate servicing and MOT schedules via lender-approved centres.
- All vehicle images are supplied by vehicle manufacturers to Clear Vehicle Data. They are for illustration and reference purposes only and aren't necessarily an accurate representation of the vehicle on offer. There may be a delay in us being able to obtain imagery of newly released models.
- We may need to alter or remove website information without notice and without incurring any liability to you.
- For pre-registered vehicles, servicing and manufacturer warranty or breakdown cover schedules will run from the vehicle's registration date, which will be noted on your order documentation. If standard manufacturer cover expires during your lease term and additional cover was not purchased, you'll be liable for any costs.
- Road Fund Licence (RFL) is quoted for the duration of the lease term at the prevailing rate. Changes to the RFL owed on the listed vehicle during the lease term, whether anticipated or not, aren't included in your finance costs and may result in additional charges.
- P11D values can only be confirmed at the point of vehicle registration when the dealer submits this value to the DVLA. Where provided to you, this is an indicative value only; it is subject to change and isn't contractual. Carparison won't be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by P11D changes.
Price information
- Prices quoted for personal leasing, otherwise known as personal contract hire, include VAT.
- Prices quoted for business leasing, otherwise known as business contract hire, exclude VAT.
- Finance commission is included in the values presented to you and therefore has a bearing on the amount you will pay over the duration of your finance agreement. The commission amount and structure is included in your quote and order documentation. All commission figures presented by us are VAT inclusive, but business contract hire agreements may see this stated in lender documentation exclusive of VAT.
- You'll be required to acknowledge and consent to us receiving the disclosed commission amount when prompted to do so, and this may be more than once.
- Unless stated otherwise, advertised prices include delivery by the dealer to a UK mainland destination, the vehicle registration charge, number plates and RFL at the prevailing rate. Carparison reserves the right to charge a delivery fee but this will be made clear to you when applicable.
- Prices quoted will depend on all material components of the vehicle, the financial terms and the product package selected by you. For example, choosing to add funder maintenance to your order can reduce your monthly payments.
- Prices quoted are subject to lender residual value reviews and processing limits, stock availability and, sometimes, our own rate reviews. Prices are for your information only and don't constitute an offer by Carparison until finance documents are signed by you.
- You'll need to pay our arrangement fee to complete your order following finance approval. Thereafter, cancellation and amendment charges will apply.
Order information
- Any vehicle order from Carparison's website is an expression of interest to obtain the advertised vehicle at the specified price only. Vehicle price and availability is subject to change without notice. Where this isn't automatic, there may be a delay in us receiving and updating change notifications. We therefore may not be able to honour advertised prices.
- If vehicle supply or price changes impact your order, we'll confirm this with you and provide you with possible alternatives. If you choose to cancel your order, this will be without penalty.
- Your vehicle order form is an order for Carparison's brokerage services and gives us immediate authorisation to secure your vehicle. You'll also receive a separate finance agreement from the finance company, which covers your payments and rights for the vehicle.
- Your finance agreement only becomes contractual once you've signed it, provided there's no pricing change from the lender, supplier or manufacturer before delivery. Carparison is an introducer and isn't party to the contract between you and the funder.
- Carparison acts as a credit broker not a lender. We can introduce you to a limited number of lenders only. Alternative funding methods and providers are available and you are encouraged to seek alternative quotations.
- Finance is subject to status and underwriting restrictions. The lender will conduct a credit check as part of your application in order to assess affordability. On the rare occasion that supporting documentation is required to verify the contents of your application, we'll confirm this with you. The lender reserves the right to decline the application and we don't receive any context or reasoning to their decision.
- For regulated contracts, the applicant must be the primary user of the vehicle. You must be over 18 years old, a UK resident and hold a full driving licence.
- We receive most finance application decisions between 24 - 48 hours after they are submitted. However, this is subject to change during busy periods. We're unable to reserve your vehicle or secure your price until your application has been approved.
- As a part of our responsibility to you, we may enquire about your financial circumstances prior to submitting your application to the lender. If we feel you're at risk of a decline, we may choose not to proceed with your application or may require explicit consent from you to do so.
- If a new credit proposal is required, another credit search may be made on your behalf. This could be following a decline, in the event of an approval expiry, a change in your circumstances, an application with a new lender or because your lender requests it.
- Regulated finance agreements that have been conducted without face-to-face contact come with the right to cancel without reason within 14 calendar days. This cancellation period begins from the day you sign your finance agreement. We may delay processing your order until this cancellation period concludes.
- Cancellation fees apply during this period to cover the costs related to securing your vehicle. You can find full details in our cancellation policy.
- Rejection charges may apply if you reject your vehicle after delivery to cover the costs of repatriating your vehicle and any mileage or damage found during inspection. Separate charges may apply for your finance agreement. You can find full details in our vehicle rejection policy.
- Any and all refunds will be issued within 30 working days of written confirmation to you by Carparison, unless otherwise stated.
Delivery information
- Advertised stock status and delivery estimates are provided to us by the supplying dealership and are therefore outside of our control. Vehicle availability is subject to change without notice. Where this isn't automatic, there may be a delay in us receiving and updating stock and delivery information. We therefore may not be able to honour advertised delivery estimates.
- While we endeavour to ensure delivery estimates are as accurate as possible, manufacturer, transportation and preparation delays do occur. Carparison has no control over vehicle preparation and won't be liable for any losses or inconvenience resulting from delivery delays. If vehicle supply changes impact your order, we'll confirm this with you and provide you with possible alternatives. If you choose to cancel your order, this will be without penalty.
- Quoted delivery estimates describe the estimated time from finance approval to delivery completion. This is subject to the availability of your designated signee and the supplying dealership.
- A number of compulsory steps must be completed by you before we're able to book delivery on your behalf. Carparison won't be liable for costs or inconvenience caused by delays under these obligations.
- Failure to accept delivery within specified timeframes could impact the price of the ordered vehicle. Failure to agree a delivery date within seven days of one being offered to you may result in us cancelling your order at your cost.
- UK mainland delivery is included in the quoted price unless stated otherwise. Additional charges may apply if delivery is possible outside of these parameters, or a port handover may be possible. Currently, we aren't permitted to introduce finance agreements for residents of Northern Ireland, regardless of handover location.
- Delivery is undertaken by a third party and is therefore outside of our control. It will be by driven delivery unless otherwise noted. Delivery miles will be noted on your handover documentation and won't contribute towards your annual mileage limit.
- It's your responsibility to ensure comprehensive insurance is in place before you take delivery of your vehicle. Please check you can obtain and afford the cost of insuring your vehicle prior to applying for finance. The lender is always the registered owner and keeper of the lease vehicle. You may be required to provide proof of insurance to your delivery driver.
- You are entitled to inspect your new vehicle upon its arrival. Please note any damage or discrepancies on the handover paperwork before you sign it and take pictures where necessary. This will allow us to seek a resolution on your behalf: the dealership won't accept liability for any issues raised that are not documented and signed for. If lighting or weather conditions prevent you from doing so, note this and complete your inspection as soon as is feasible and before driving your car.
Restrictions information
To keep leasing fair and affordable for all our customers, there are some standard restrictions that apply to every lease agreement. Here's what you need to know.
- You'll have to select an annual mileage limit for your lease vehicle. You'll be charged an agreed pence per mile (PPM) excess mileage charge if you exceed your contractual mileage. This fee may increase if your additional mileage exceeds certain thresholds. Please refer to your finance agreement for full details on applicable excess mileage charges.
- If the vehicle is damaged beyond what the BVRLA consider fair wear and tear for its age and total mileage, you'll be charged for these repairs when you hand the vehicle back. Please refer to your finance agreement for full details on applicable excess damage charges.
- If you want to terminate the agreement early, fees are likely to apply (usually equating to half of all outstanding payments). You should take care in matching the term of the agreement to your expected requirements. Please refer to your finance agreement for full details on applicable early termination charges.
Statutory rights
- These terms and conditions don't affect your statutory rights.
- If you are dissatisfied with the service you receive from us and we're unable to informally resolve your concerns, please refer to our complaints policy.
