Can I return a lease car early?
It is possible to terminate a vehicle lease early. However, it is rarely cost effective so should be avoided wherever possible.
An early termination will involve you contacting your finance company for a termination quote. This will usually be 50% of the total remaining rentals left.
For example, if you are paying £250 per month a year ahead of your contract end, you would be required to pay £1500 to exit the contract early.
If your financial circumstances have changed and this means that you can no longer afford your lease car, contact your funder to see if and how they can help.
