How much fuel does my lease car need when returned?
Around 50 miles worth of fuel, or a fully charged battery if it's electric.
For petrol and diesel cars, aim for at least a quarter of a tank, or roughly 50 miles' worth of fuel, when your car is collected.
If you're returning an electric car, it should be fully charged.
The main thing is making sure the low fuel warning light isn't showing, and there's enough in the tank or battery for the collection driver to reach a nearby fuelling station or charge point if needed.
You don't need to fill up completely, but returning it on empty can lead to a refuelling charge.
