Tell us what you put on your pancakes and we’ll tell you what car lease you should choose next.

There are more personality quizzes on the web than we can shake a (gear) stick at, so we thought, why not put one more out there?

Because choosing your next car lease is something that can just be so personal.

And in the absolute deluge of options on the market, finding the best car lease deals for you can be a never-ending quagmire.

So, if you just want some old-fashioned inspiration for your search, throw out your budget and forget any lingering brand loyalty (if only for the length of time it takes you to read this post).

We’ll tell you what car suits you best. Based, of course, on what you’ll be chucking on your pancakes this year.

Whether you go for a classy crepe, or a fat American-style pancake, there’s a topping out there for you. And a car lease too.

Believe you me, we’ll find it.

Vauxhall Corsa

Lemon and sugar

Some people call might call it basic. Or old-fashioned.

But if you were going to have a pancake for the very first time, this is what we’d start you on. Because while it may not seem very exciting on paper, lemon and sugar on your pancakes is so old-school, it’s basically come back around as a classic.

We might even say it’s the original topping.

And it’s affordable too. A tried-and-true treat that doesn’t break the bank.

So, if lemon and sugar is your topping of choice, you’re someone who doesn’t appreciate fads and trends. You’re after something practical and long-lasting.

You’re after a Vauxhall Corsa car lease deal.

It’s one of the best-value family hatchbacks on the market,– though maybe slightly overshadowed by newer brands and models in recent years.

But it’s a car you really can’t go wrong with. Much like lemon and sugar on a hot pancake.

The MINI Cooper Electric

MINI Cooper Electric

Lemon and golden syrup

This is lemon and sugar’s fancier sibling.

Golden syrup’s been around since the 1800s, and we reckon people have been putting it on their pancakes for just as long. It’s a classic with a twist: something just a little bit unexpected, but full of joy.

It is literally the gold standard of pancake toppings. Sharp, sweet – immensely satisfying.

If you’re a lemon and golden syrup fan, we think you’ll enjoy a car lease that’s just a little to the left of your old, familiar favourites.

You want a classic that’s been reimagined and reinvented for the future.

Yes, we’re on about the MINI Cooper Electric. It’s everything we love about MINI, but with an all-new electric twist.

Basically, you can enjoy the iconic design with the knowledge it comes with a greener footprint.

And what’s not to love about a crowd-pleasing head-turner, that demands a second, closer look?

Tesla Model 3

Maple syrup and bacon

Sweet maple syrup. Salty, crispy bacon.

A stack of fat, fluffy pancakes; it’s literally the stuff of American dreams.

So, we reckon anyone who eats it is channelling pure pioneer spirit. You want a car that leads the pack, that sets the trends, that redefines its class.

You can see why we kind of had to pick the ultimate American powerhouse for this one.

Specifically, the Tesla Model 3.

Because when you think of the Model 3, you think of innovation.

And why wouldn’t you? For so long Tesla has pioneered the EV revolution, and the Model 3 is one of the most recognisable electric cars you’ll see on the road.

It’s got its challengers, but just like bacon and maple syrup, the Tesla Model 3 is in a league all of its own.

Polestar 3

Nutella and banana

Chocolate and banana should not go together. Rich chocolate paired with the overpowering sweetness of a banana – who dreamt that up?

But somehow, it manages to be an absolutely winning combination. And it’s becoming a more and more popular pairing for pancake day.

We reckon if you’re a fan, it’s because you like something a little bit naughty with something a little bit nice.

So, you’re after the same in your choice of car lease.

We’re going to recommend the Polestar 3 for you – it’s a big chunk of SUV with green credentials.

It’s an EV with heft; a chance to get behind the wheel at height, without worrying quite so much about your carbon footprint.

What did we tell you? Naughty and nice.

Strawberries and cream

There is so much you can say about strawberries and cream.

It’s sophisticated. It’s classy. It’s literally the flavour of summer in a delicious little mouthful.

But while it might be best enjoyed in one particular season, strawberries and cream is the combo that never fails to impress. And it never fails to come back around, year after year after year.

If strawberries and cream is at the top of your list for pancake day, then you’re probably a summer baby. Someone who likes to feel the sun on your face and the wind in your hair.

Someone who’d really enjoy a convertible car lease.

And we think you’d love the BMW 4 Series convertible in particular. With the roof down in just 18 seconds, you’ll never miss even the smallest flash of sunshine.

Strawberry season is fleeting – but with a BMW convertible, summer vibes don’t have to be.

Fruit and Greek yogurt

Probably the only version of a healthy pancake you’ll ever get.

If this is your chosen pancake topping, you’re either a health-conscious gym nut packing down the protein, or you’re sharing the baby-friendly version you’re feeding to the kids.

(Or maybe you just really like fruit – that’s good enough too).

Either way you’re making sensible choices. We think you’re someone who likes a treat, but will have them in moderation.

You’re not looking for something superfluous, or stupidly excessive. You go for paired-back practicality, a decent promise-keeping car.

You’d probably go for the Nissan Qashqai.

It’s a sensible, no-frills option that does exactly what it says on the tin. That’s probably why it keeps coming up top trumps as one of the UK’s favourite cars.

Jaecoo 7

Biscoff spread

This is the new kid of pancake toppings.

Alright, Biscoff has been about for a bit, but it’s only in recent years (since about 2008) that it's been available as a dastardly delicious biscuit paste.

Said paste is suddenly becoming super popular – not just on pancakes, but on cupcakes, as a doughnut filling, and even as an ice cream flavour.

Biscoff, it seems, is everywhere: the possibilities are endless.

So, if you’ve recently hopped onto the Biscoff bandwagon, you’re someone who is open to change. You like to try new things rather than sentimentally sticking to what you know.

Which makes us think you’re the same way with your car leases. And while there are a few new players on the market for you to try, we’re going to recommend you take a look at the Jaecoo 7.

It’s luxe, it’s bold, it’s the shiny new thing everyone wants to get their hands on (and at an affordable price).

This could be a match made in heaven – at least until the next new thing comes along.

From old reliable’ s like the Vauxhall Corsa, to the new kid on the block, the Jaecoo 7, there are some choice ideas in this list – and we’d be happy to drive home in any of them.

We’re maybe a little less flexible when it comes to our preferred pancake topping though.

But if we’ve given you some ideas for your next car lease, we consider this a job well done.
