Details of the brand new and improved 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLC revealed

Improved technology and refined design see Mercedes' best-seller elevated to new levels

The German manufacturer have confirmed details of the brand new GLC, which will be available later this year.

Updated for 2022, the GLC will include an exciting range of new hybrid engines and improved technology.

Competing with the likes of the BMW X3, Audi Q3 or the Volvo XC60, this latest edition of the GLC boasts a refined exterior design, with subtle tweaks to the front headlights and air vents surrounding the front grille.

The biggest change to the new GLC comes in the interior technology. Mercedes have removed the old 10.25inch infotainment screen and replaced it with the much-improved 11.9inch tablet-style display that was introduced in the new Mercedes C-Class.

Improvements to the driver’s display enhance the advancements made by Mercedes in this latest version of the GLC.

The system will be operated in the same manner, with the option to choose ‘Hey Mercedes’ voice commands for easier usability on the move.

The new GLC will become an even more efficient Mercedes lease thanks to the improved hybrid engines, which provides up to 63 miles from its 31kWh battery pack.

Three different plug-in hybrid engines will be available – two petrol and one diesel - with up to 381 horsepower available from the most powerful option.

In the rear, the boot space has grown by 50 litres to 600 litres in total for even more day-to-day practicality.

The small jump in boot space does now give the GLC an advantage over some of its rivals, including the the X3 (550L) and XC60 (483L). The new models will also be 60mm longer than the current GLC.
