We’re trying to improve representation of women in the automotive industry

It’s evident that there is gender stereotyping going on in the automotive world, it’s a fact that the industry has been dominated by men for years.

Just to name a few issues, we’re talking about the lack of women on sales teams, fewer women wanting to visit a dealership or speak to a male salesman because they feel intimidated, and the manufacturer marketing feeling too masculine.

At Carparison, 42% of our workforce identify as women. Although there is still much to be done, in March 2023, Carparison started offering the option of exclusively speaking to a female member of the team to try and make some customers more comfortable when enquiring about a car.

We hope this offering will not only be a vital step in driving fair representation of women working in the automotive industry, but will also create a more inclusive place for female drivers.

We are transparent in how we make our money

Most brokers are against the idea of displaying how much money they receive on a lease deal.

In fact, according to Broker News, a poll vote in 2020 showed that 77.8% of brokers voted no to displaying commission.

Carparison became the first leasing broker in the UK to offer full commission disclosure online for both personal and business contract hire agreements, in order to become transparent to our customers.

We don’t hide any costs

For most people, it all comes down to price when choosing your next lease car. And leasing brokers have been known for having additional or ‘hidden’ leasing costs.

The bulk of the cost comes from the initial payment and the monthly installments, but other costs that you’ll need to consider include a processing fee and maintenance fees, wear and tear fees and the excess mileage charge. Except for the processing fee, the additional costs are funder-based charges and are not through us, so we don’t make any profit on those.

Sometimes delivery fees are applicable for our own stock, but we always make customers aware before the order is confirmed.
