Outstanding staff engagement secures Carparison two-star accreditation

Carparison Leasing are delighted to announce we have received a two-star accreditation in the 2022 Best Companies Survey.

Scoring two stars - the second-highest possible rank - confirms the ‘outstanding levels of engagement’ among the Carparison and Vanparison workplace.

Created to measure the engagement and happiness levels of staff, the Best Companies Survey is an invaluable barometer for the business to gauge staff morale.

The Carparison team were tasked with providing honest and unbiased answers on everything from their relationships with senior management and colleagues, to progression opportunities and much more.

Based on their answers, companies are rewarded with a unique BCI score that can range from zero to 900.

There are four levels of accreditation available and each reflects the levels of staff engagement within the workplace.

• One to Watch (good levels of engagement) =  BCI Score of 600 or more
• One Star (very good level of engagement) = BCI score of 659.5 or more
• Two Stars (outstanding levels of engagement) = BCI score of 695.5 or more
• Three Stars (world-class levels of engagement) = BCI score of 738 or more

Following feedback from staff, Carparison achieved their highest ever score of 720.8. An outstanding achievement in itself, but also marking a 33.4 point increase from the previous year.

As well as seeing the growing team move into their new state-of-the-art offices on Europe's biggest automotive industrial estate, the last 12 months has also seen the Carparison team pick up numerous awards - AM's Leasing Broker of the Year Award, Feefo's Platinum Trusted Service Award and The Leasing Broker Federation's Best Marketing and Innovation Award. 

Carparison also continued their support of their longstanding charity partner, Brake - the road safety charity and achieved Carbon Neutral status. 

So, there was certainly a lot to celebrate and this is reflected in the Carparison team's attachment to their co-workers and their workplace.

Despite Carparison ranking as a three-star accredited business in our Best Companies 2021 ranking, this two-star result can still be seen as a considerable improvement, with a sizeable jump in our overall score.

The change in star rating is reflective of Carparison's move into what is considered a tougher category based on the make-up of the business and the size of the team. Carparison were previously judged as a smaller business within their business group, with the star ranking reflective of the overall size of that business and the recognition that workplace engagement is harder to maintain in larger teams.

2022 was Carparison’s first survey as a standalone business, an important moment in itself, and as such they now face a much higher score required to achieve the sought after three-star accreditation. Despite the star ranking declining, Carparison stepped forward considerably in overall score, marking a sizeable improvement in workplace engagement year on year.

"While our star rating has dropped, our overall score has gone forward considerably, which is particularly satisfying. We're always striving to improve and we'll continue to do that over the next 12 months."

These results will provide crucial insights for the business, with work already underway actioning some of the feedback highlighted throughout the survey.
