Thinking of upsizing? These seven-seaters are among the best in their class

If you’ve got a growing family, space is going to be one of the key factors when it comes to choosing your next car lease.

SUVs are so often the go-to class for a family as they consider their next car, but for every expanding family, there’s comes a point where your smaller, compact vehicles no longer suffice.

The likes of Volvo, Mercedes, Audi and BMW all boast hugely competitive and compelling SUV lease deals that are both cost-effective and affordable.

Whichever price point you’re searching in, there are a wide range of fantastic seven-seater SUVs available at Carparison.

Audi Q7

Perched at the top of Audi’s SUV line-up alongside the Q8, the beautiful Q7 is a fantastic choice for a premium seven-seater, allowing you to carry six passengers in pristine comfort.

Where the Q7 trumps some of its rivals is its ability to provide ISOFIX points in all the six passengers seats – something that isn’t as common as you might think.

If you’re considering an Audi lease deal and you know you’re going to be carrying multiple kids regularly, this offers fantastic flexibility.

You can also enjoy the usual Audi intricacies, including their brilliant technology, refined cabin qualities and supreme ride comfort.

If you’re searching for domineering looks and unmistakable road presence, you might want to consider a BMW lease for the X7.

For anyone who has ever spent any time in a BMW, the cabin quality on offer throughout the X7 will be instantly recognisable.

You’ll enjoy the same creature comforts that make all BMW models so desirable, including high-quality materials, first-class technology and stunning attention to detail.

You don’t need to worry about the X7 being style over substance, it’s incredibly practical too. You have the option to configure it as a six-seater for added room, storage for up to 2120L of luggage and a split-folding tailgate for greater convenience.

The combination of luxury and performance is clear to see, making the BMW X7 a worthy contender as one of, if not the best premium seven-seater SUV of choice.

Skoda Kodiaq

Skoda’s SUV line-up is one of the most underrated on the market and the pick of the bunch is arguably the Kodiaq.

Like so many in the wider Skoda range, you have a great amount of choice in terms of trim levels, which all offer fantastic value for money.

Fresh out of the box, the Kodiaq is a fantastic, family-friendly SUV. However, if you would like something that’s both suitable for the kids and has a bit of oomph, take a closer look at the Sportline edition or the range-topping vRS trim for your next Skoda lease deal

The addition of the third row of seats doesn’t mean the Kodiaq has to compromise on space in the back. It is more than competitive for this class and even comes with the option of tri-zone climate control.

Thanks to its seamless four-wheel-drive system, you can enjoy a smooth driving experience on all terrains in the Kodiaq.

Volvo XC90

If you’re searching for an alternative route into the world of premium seven-seater SUVs and want to steer away from the traditional German heavyweights, the XC90 should be right up there as your first choice.

Offering a sense of luxury, immense reliability and a pristine design that competes with the very best on the market.

Volvo leasing comes with a whole host of benefits, with the Swedish manufacturer priding themselves on style and safety – making it the perfect family car. The XC90 comes with a five-star Euro NCAP rating and a 97% safety score for adult occupants.

Range Rover Sport

The ultimate status symbol, the Land Rover brand have been synonymous with seven-seaters through the years and if you’re searching for something big, there’s a good chance you’ve explored their fantastic line-up.

Thanks to their versatile seating options, you’ve got a handful of options to choose from, including the Land Rover Defender, Land Rover Discovery and Discovery Sport.

The Discovery is currently the only out-and-out seven-seater available, but we’re suggesting a five-plus two option, in the form of the Range Rover Sport.

Pitched by Land Rover themselves as the most dynamic Range Rover, this combines elements of other Range Rover models into this one mighty machine.

Compared to the Discovery, you do compromise on space in the third row somewhat. While it remains competitive, it is best reserved for young children rather than adults on journeys of any great length.

It’s good news if you’re searching for a more efficient Range Rover lease too, with the Sport available as a PHEV.

Perhaps more than any of its rivals, the Range Rover Sport offers one of the best combinations of luxury interior and impressive performance.

Mercedes GLB

The Mercedes-Benz GLB is a mid-size SUV that comes with the option of seven seats. Within the Mercedes line-up, it is placed between the GLA and the GLC but is perhaps the most practical of the three.

Having the option of adding in the third row of seats makes the GLB a far more cost-effective Mercedes lease when compared against the GLS – the out-and-out seven-seater of choice in the German manufacturer’s line-up.

As you would expect from a Mercedes, comfort levels are typically premium in the GLB, with the rear passengers enjoying a fantastic amount of space in the second row. You also benefit from class-leading technology with the MBUX multimedia system.

If you’re not always carrying seven and need the extra boot space, you have around 500L of luggage capacity if you collapse the third row.

For something even more unique, upgrade to the range-topping AMG 35 4MATIC edition, which comes with the AMG Night package, 20inch alloy wheels and AMG-specific radiator grille as standard.

Kia Sorento

Seven-seater SUVs don’t come more spacious than the brilliant Kia Sorento. It has come a long way since its initial launch and the Sorento now competes against some of the more premium rivals in this class.

Compared to previous editions of the Sorento, this latest version provides far more dynamic looks that match its practical space.

Kia have struck a wonderful balance of space in all three rows. Even in seats six and seven, adults have a very generous amount of space to travel in comfort.

Typically the third row in seven-seater cars are exclusively reserved for kids due to a lack of space, but that is not the case with the Sorento.

Don’t have the constant need for seven seats? Drop the third row down and you have over 600 litres of boot space too.

The Sorento has the option of a hybrid powertrain too, so you don’t need to compromise on space to achieve a more efficient daily drive from your next Kia lease deal.
